The Moonshiner's Leghorns

That is one Disney movie I haven’t seen yet. I will definitely have to watch it once I’m done with school. I have ADHD and like to have a movie or something on as background noise when working on assignments. But it has to be something Ive watched before, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on my homework. My mind is weird. 😆
Due to my ADHD I can't handle anything on otherwise I wouldn't be able to concentrate, lol. Even if it's the most boring thing in the world my eyes track movement and my ears pick up words.

This is how I thought it would be.
I don't have ADHD and I always want background noise, TV or radio or something.
I just don't like quiet. Too much of that makes me think something is going on and not something good.

Yesterday was a cluster fk.
Was planning on making feed run tomorrow but weather says 80% chance of rain pretty much all day. Went yesterday morning and didn't get going as early as I'd of liked. Made it about halfway then came up to where I need to turn onto another road and it was blocked off and closed. Had to sidetrack several gravel roads to finally get to a place to get on the road I needed. Go about 3 miles then turn on the last road. It's a 12 mile run that leads right into town. Two-lane blacktop but tons of hills and curves. Just get going and come up on a highway truck going about 10 or 12 mile an hour. Oh hell no I ain't got a hour for that last 12 miles. Takes a while to get to a spot where it's safe to pass and then when I do I see more trucks ahead. They're painting the stripes on the road. Catch up to the next two trucks same thing slow as can be and not many places to pass. Finally get around them and then on to the next one. Again takes a few but I finally get around it. Try to make up some time without much luck because everybody in front of me that decides to turn off thinks they need to slow way down and then completely stop in the road before making the right turn.
Finally made it, got my feed and admired the new yellow paint on the side of my truck. Yay. Decide to go the other way home to miss the road construction and wouldn't you know it road construction that way too. Another two lane blacktop so I had to crawl along for about 5 miles there.
The highlight of the day was I stopped at the grocery store on the way by and they had 16 oz bacon on sale for $2.99. Limit five so five it was. That was an awesome deal. Got back home did my chores and then started to bust through some extras.
Getting the ducks winter home ready and decided to cut their door down and add a 2x4 at the bottom. That's my new Fascination for the year. Raising doors up high off the ground. Theirs was pretty low and I remember last year if we got an inch or two of snow I'd have to throw my shoulder into it to get it opened and closed. No big deal just zip off some of the top and then add a new board and reattach the wire. Well no big deal until you get four or five inches in and your circular saw burns up. Guess I'll put that off a couple days till I get another saw. I do have another one but it's got a metal cutting wheel on it that I used to cut wire and tin. You know who wants to take the time and trouble to swap blades. Not Moony.
Started cooling off pretty quick about an hour before sunset so I called it a day. Today is a work day and a whole different headache to deal with this evening so I'll see what I get accomplished tomorrow.

Oh ya 2 little cockerels weren't doing well in C block general public so I let them move to the pullet pen. That may not be any better. They're not keepers so...
The biggest boys don't seem to be having issues.

Woohoo!! Cant wait to see them! :wee :ya
Yah, me too! But ... i have to find homes for about 12 of my OGs before they move out of the brooder and into the hen house. Fingers crossed that SweetMom goes broody again. But ... will 15 be more than she can handle? 🤔 She's a big, fluffy, gal, an Orp-based EE.

 Oh I want this freezer....
