It seems that most people aren't 100% happy no matter where they live at. We all have our different climates and thing's that we have to put up with within that climate.

I think I would be happier away from the drama of our families. We don't have much to tie us to this area, so uprooting wouldn't be too hard. We just don't have it in the budget to buy a 40-acre farm somewhere else just yet.

I’d say so. My husband wants to move to Texas where his cousin moved but the summers there are really bad too.

I've come to appreciate my coastal Texas climate.

Just got home from work. Getting a quick warm up then off to do chores.
Hoping most of the water bowls will be a matter of busting ice and finding water underneath and not frozen solid.
I don't want to tote water today or at least not more then a couple buckets.

Upstate NY weather is no joke either. Adirondack mountains are super cold with lots of skiing available. We will probably be mostly 10-40 degrees (lowest night to highest daytime) temps until March. Got 15 inches of snow this weekend. The chickens hate it. I spend my time shoveling to make sure I have easy access to the coop. They have a covered & tarped run, and now an additional covered area near the door to the fenced area. The rest of their roaming space is covered in snow and they won’t go in it. I prefer super cold and no snow to being buried, just so I can navigate. Last winter it alternated storm of 6-12 inches and then hard freeze, which is thw worst it’s ever been because it didn’t melt at all in-between. As much as I hate the mud, at least the chickens come out and I can lay dry straw down for them to walk on. Just saw today that the wire on my heated waterer is coming loose, so I had to order another one. If I didn’t work I would just keep changing out waters but unfortunately if I fill fresh water in the morning it will freeze my midday. Praying for a mild (30s) winter with very little snow. Will probably get the opposite.

I’m pretty happy with the weather in WNC I have to say. I sweep the snow off the walk a couple times a year and aside from that one hurricane I don’t really mind the rain either.

I was up nearly all night cleaning, so I've just cooked, done laundry, and laid around most of the day today. I finished my last final exam also today so I am officially done with school. I have had a huge burst of energy to clean and do some things that have been neglected around the house due to school, like de-cluttering and organizing, now that I finally have time! I re-organized my master bathroom with a new 6 foot shelf for all my girly things, and it is glorious. lol
