Weather is still all over the place here. 73° yesterday, 63° to start the day today. Going to end the day in the 30s. Teens overnight with below 0 wind chills and wintery mix. Then mid-70s 2 days later.
Feed stores have chicks in stock and the urge to hatch is real. For now I'm distracting myself digging deep in my to-do list. Last week I got my driver's license straightened out. That's been on the list three months shy of 20 years. Eventually I'll switch over to my thickening to-do list and then I'll be close.

Does that include small doses? Really need to get off the Klonopin.

I was actually supposed to see my psychiatrist (as well as my therapist) this Friday and probably talk about it but then I tested positive for COVID tonight so I guess that’s out the window now.

I was considering cancelling anyways though cause I don’t think you’re allowed to see your own when you’re in PHP for like insurance purposes I think and cause they have one but I didn’t know if you could if you did it on different days like for example didn’t go to PHP Friday and then the insurance might be okay. Or if it was just a rule they had.

But yeah. Doesn’t matter either way now though because I can’t go anymore.

The main correlation is with long-term use, but I'm sure the smaller the dose and the shorter the term, the lower the risk.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry you're sick! My son tested positive for flu A at the urgent care and it has been a really virulent strain this year. He ran a fever for 5 solid days and hasn't eaten enough to keep a bird alive in that same amount of time. My husband also had it, but so far I'm good. Thank God! I don't think I've ever had the flu that I know of.

Yeah insurance is a witch for sure. I hate how they dictate so much in the healthcare world. I could rant on about that for hours. Hopefully you will get to see someone soon to discuss your options. But a slight risk of dementia is nothing if the klonopin helps your mental health and keeps you well now, especially if you are on a low dose.

Benzos are a first-line drug for panic attacks so I could probably benefit from them, but with my significant family history of addiction I'm scared.

Thank you! He is just now feeling a little better today. He went outside today and helped me butcher a turkey and we all moved some of the juvenile chickens to a large grow out pen. I sold some turkeys yesterday and rearranged some birds so I could use one of the large turkey runs for the Leghorn growouts.

It is in the 70's today here, but the wind is blowing something fierce. So definitely a cold front moving in. I reckon we are forecasted to get snow tomorrow. My to-do list is long too but slowly chipping away at it. We have butchered quite a few birds lately and I sold a trio of turkeys yesterday. It feels good to thin them down. Gonna make turkey pot pies tomorrow.

I will be setting eggs from the Red Necker pen soon, and White Leghorn eggs for my husband. The Brown Leghorn hens in with the Silver rooster are laying, so will set some from them soon also hopefully.

Ah, the poor feller! How old is he?

He is 13 and this flu has kicked his butt this week. To add insult to injury, he had his braces put on Monday. He missed the entire week of school.

There's definitely a dose response and the research I'm aware of is for higher doses long term. It was a psychiatrist I worked with who told me that.

Yes, diet sodas, aspartame, and even microplastics.

Microplastics are the hardest to avoid. They are in absolutely everything. I don't cook in plastic and try to not by products that have them, but it's so ubiquitous.
