The Moonshiner's Leghorns

All is well except for work. Lack of involvement on the boss's part has the place spiraling.
While back I went to a 4 day work week. Had to cut a few hours to be able to pick the kid up from school. Only 2 days during the week and only a couple hours. No big deal.
Other changes were made and I got cut more hours. Now it's to the point to make an impact. Trying to make it work.
Found out today there's gonna be a team meeting next week. No idea how that's gonna go. Sh!ts making no sense.
No jobs here so hoping no more cuts. No idea. Maybe no changes, maybe less hours, maybe no job.
Gotta see before any future thickening plans.
I feel your stress for sure. I am depending on OT right now to make ends meet, but OT is not always guaranteed so that is stressful. For now I'm working plenty of OT, but will have to pick up and work more at the second job if the OT fizzles out.

I pray the team meeting goes well and there are no more cuts to your hours! Times are hard right now and life is so stressful. 😓

We are still thinning down the birds and trying not to raise too many more this year, trying to ride out this crazy economy. I have had a pair of really nice turkeys posted for a week and people do not want to pay anything for them. They are gorgeous and a variety that is hard to find. So the plan is if we don't sell them by tomorrow we are going to butcher the tom. It really will be a crying shame to eat him, but it is what it is. We cannot keep feeding all these dang toms.

There is another Leghorn and another Leghorn game in there still but they aren’t doing anything. Going to leave them for another day. 75% hatch rate ain’t too shabby!
A 75% hatch rate is good in my opinion. If I get 75% or better hatch rate I consider that a win.

They look good and are hatching without difficulty!
I did have a shrink wrap but since I’ve never hatched before I didn’t realize it until my mom used her mommy voice to tell me to assist. That was the game Leghorn cross but it is perky and fluffing out with it’s friend now

Ooh, that’s unnerving. My job has been in flux for the past year with budget cuts and the government shutdowns. I never know week to week how much work there will be. I hope things improve at your job.

Beans aren't the best food in the world but they're still one of my favorite. If I had my choice I'd eat steak and potatoes 3 days a week
Me too. I pulled a flank steak out of the freezer and my husband asked how I planned to cook it. I hadn’t decided so I said, “I’m going to cook it and you’re going to eat it and that’s the end of the story.” He laughed and said, “Yes ma’am!” I made it tonight with a garlic butter sauce, with broccoli and cheesy rice.
