I know the recommended number of chicken eggs for an LG/Hovabator is I believe is 42, but surely some of you have squeezed in more...I know i have. So my question is how many & how you did it? I used egg cartons & sort of stacked them but I actually can't remember how many, but it was close to 60+ I'd say.

There is someone on the forum who stacks them as high as possible without touching the heating element, and then uses short 2x4s or 4x4s to lift first one side of the incubator, then the other, to turn the eggs. I forget how many eggs they packed into the bator but it was *huge*.

The worst part is turning them. Once you get past which ones are going to hatch, it gets easier.
I had found a nest of my guineas eggs in my neighbors yard. Needless to say, alot of them were junk, but it was fun seeing how many would hatch! I think there was around 34 that made it. What the heck was I thinking?
Those things are crazy! Luckily I found homes for them!

That is crazy...but a good idea! Atleast until you find out which ones to ditch (=
