That does look like a coon. If so, forget the live trap. He won't go back in anyway. Switch to the Dog Proof traps. Likely you can find them at any local Farm and Home and some hardware stores. TSC does not stock them, however.
A coon will tear up your trap just like that, I have had many torn up! IF you can find or make a heavy duty trap, bait it with cantaloupe, they love it. I have used foot traps (stake it down good) with a melon next to it. But they were not after my chickens, my melons were being taken!
A person near me has use rat baits on them, it will kill them, takes more,,,.
