I have a rooster who lets me hold him.He doesn’t like chicks.Accept for today,witnessed him actually feed a little too of mine,surprisingly.
 
But conversation has come up that because he is not this Alpha roo personality that attacks and chases and kills the baby chicks, that he is no use against attacking hawks and raccoons and that his genetics are weak.
A cockbird that is good with the other flock members is worth his weight in gold.
What does this 'perfect man' do when a predator appears?
They are usually only a speed bump on the way to the buffet anyway.
Keep the best, eat the rest.
