It's out it's out!! That little one was determined it zipped and popped out in an hour if that. Poor thing is having a hard time getting out of the bottom half of the shell.... I used egg cartons and it's in the back row. It's chirping up a storm I want to reach in and help it out :/

absolutely.. I swap eggs around from bator to bator all the time

think of it this way.. if the temps are the same... why not?.. they are just going from one warm place to another... it's no different than removing eggs to weigh them or to candle them

I suspect the poult is out by now.

In my limited experience the pushing with the eggs to get out of the shell is an important developmental hurdle. WHen I assist hatching ( pip not zip) the chicks often need PT to strengthen the legs and have correct gaits.

I was woken by chirping in the night... #2 hatched and #3 followed early this morning..... I just went to check again with my coffee in tow and an egg I didn't even see a pip in is zipping!! The 4th egg with small pip last night still has done nothing else. So far I think I have 2 blue & 1 splash Marans !! Or one could be a black they aren't fully dried yet so its hard to tell. No pips in the silkies yet but day 19 starts tonight for them. Yeah chicks yeah!

Ok by the time I typed that #4 who was half zipped when I walked in to post popped out! That has to be the fastest hatch ever!
And I missed it by seconds..... Anyways there is a little bit of unabsorbed yolk in the bottom of this shell.... It's weird as the others were clean... Wonder what makes that happen? I guess variations in egg genetics? If the sound of his lungs is any indication of health, this one is feisty!
