I did not see a thread for us to post funny things.

I will start of course.

My RIR, she started to lay about two weeks ago. Well I looked in the coop through the window and her and one of my Buffs where sitting in the nest together. They did'nt see me. Well my RIR (Reddee) was laying there, then she stood up and looked behind her. It looked like she was saying "anything yet?" So she laid back down, a couple minutes later she stood up and looked behind her agian. I watched her for about 15 minutes do this. It was hilarous.

When I get home today I will try and video record my chickens when they hear the dog door getting shut. They know that means they are gonna be let out very soon.

I went out to give the evening snack yesterday and my two bard rocks (tweedle dee and dum) came running around the corner so fast they tipped over and wiped out. They were ok, but they had that cat look of ".. um... yeah, I meant to do that"

My redstar has a funny habit, every time I go to pick her up she squats down low, ducks her head and stomps her feet 3 times. Yes, always three times. I don't know if she's excited or if she's bracing herself.

I'm sure everybody else's hens do this too, but I think its quite funny and cute so I'll post it here.
My two big Cornish X ladies like to complain and squawk at each other when the other is in the nest box. They each have very distinctive voices, so I know if its George, or Greta in the nest box by who's squawking. If Greta is complaining, that means I can peer in and I'll see George sitting in the nest box, looking down at Greta as if she's saying "Yeah? So What? I'm in here now."
