(I think Cyrus had brought on around 200, then later Ember quoted a smaller number. In total, the ship should have around 300, but I think we're going with a lot less. (I'm assuming "NPC" is the characters that nobody owns, correct?))Only like…100? Or so?
All I know is there’s a lot(I think Cyrus had brought on around 200, then later Ember quoted a smaller number. In total, the ship should have around 300, but I think we're going with a lot less. (I'm assuming "NPC" is the characters that nobody owns, correct?))
Yes, almost 200.I'm a bit lost in the sauce regarding the format of this crew. Are there many NPC crew members?
(I have read that pirate ships usually erred on the side of lesser numbers in crew—not on every ship, of course, but it wasn’t a rarity for the crew to be smaller than expected for the vessel they were working.)(I think Cyrus had brought on around 200, then later Ember quoted a smaller number. S’cuz they were just skilled like that(I have read that pirate ships usually erred on the side of lesser numbers in crew—not on every ship, of course, but it wasn’t a rarity for the crew to be smaller than expected for the vessel they were working.)
(Actually it was probably because they just plain had less men to man the ship. Take the Royal Navy for an example: When they needed new crew members, they just sent out scouts and basically grabbed whoever, even lawless men who were trying to escape jail time and young boys who had no homes. Pirates, on the other hand, probably couldn't scout as easily because they could get caught doing so. And some pirate ships got their crews from the slave ships they raided- that is, they rescued the slaves and the slaves joined them.S’cuz they were just skilled like that
They actually knew commands and whatnot
So it didn’t matter![]()
