-The Mythics RP-

Ember cheated and got the best of both worlds
She definitely can't talk to birds though
Definitely not social

I pretty much made the concept to be mostly a Harpy but with the Pheonix firepower
Guys, be honest, is Ember too powerful?
(Yeah)
I mean, at least the Phoenix firepower isn't super OP. They can make a little fire with their hands, but that's about it :/
(True I thought they could shoot fireballs I didn't know their fire was limited to their hands)

Gecko flew high. Catching the bird in a swoop would be the quickest way to reach it. He leveled his wings, locked eyes on his prey and prepared for his dive.

"Hey! Where do yo think you're going?" Jintao stormed up behind Galen. "Drop to the deck or I'll shoot you down and feed your wings to the cabin boys!"

Gecko's wings seized. He looked down and the tall man held a hand beneath his coat like he was hiding a pistol from sight. What was it with these fellows and their need to shoot? his mind instantly went to Ember in the powder room. They must be working together!
Gecko dropped to the deck and fell to his knees. He held his hands up, now trembling for his life. "I- I wasn't eh, going nowhe-ah, uh, saa. Just-y... stwatching my wings, that-all."

Jintao gave Galen a sharp stare and towered above Gecko. He turned his glare onto Gecko, and moved his hand behind his back. "A lying fool is all you are. You're lucky that I don’t chop your wings off anyway. Men like you are only fit for tar and feathers."
Gecko sank lower, holding his trembling hands above his head. Jintao stepped back, his chin high.
"There's dust on the deck," Jintao glanced at Galen. He was surely part of the problem too. "The Captain will want it spotless by the time we sail. You two will get to it. Have I made myself clear?"
(@Isabella7Storm5? Or anyone else who'd like to get involved?)

Legs crossed at their cannons, hands clasped atop his thighs, Fitz leaned back into the chair. He took a quick glance around the little cabin: a small square window poured in swathes of morning light onto the floorboards and the desk beside him.
“Now—Pinchbeck, was it?” asked the captain. Captain Achille. A sturdy sort of fellow. The sort with shoulders that signaled he could hoist rigging with the best of them.
The face matched it. He couldn’t have been five-and-thirty, and yet the barrel-brown eyes and barrel-brown curls and barrel-browned skin from ocean salt and sun all looked far beyond his years.
“Yes, you know of my father?” Replied Fitz, leisurely turning to face the captain.
“‘I’ve heard the name,” Achille’s eyes flicked briefly to Fitz’s hooves. “And you’re here with the shipment?” He folded his hands on top of the desk. His calluses nearly elicited a wince.
“Yes, yes I am. Say— I’ll need men to move it, many of them. You’ll call them up, right?”
Achille nodded, and was quick to stand, palming his tricorn and setting his strong gait to the door.
Not seeing another option, Fitz hopped to and started after the man. “Now, may I ask, you are prioritizing our efficiency and safety,” he dodged past a crewmate, “I’ve heard mentions of pirate waters?”
“These men’ve wives and children at home, why should I not?” Came the captain’s response, “and aye, we take the long route to Undermine— not too far from the Cove. But it’s a good crew with us, I trust ‘em.”
Fitz straightened, watching Achille as he whistled sharply. Several men whose arms weren’t coiled with ropes were at his side in double-quick time. Orders were issued, and the whole lot started off down the gangplank.
Fingers were pointed sharply to the carriage, Fitz beside them, hooves clicking along down the cobbles. He checked his pocketwatch, only a quarter past six. They’d made good time.
He hoped it was the same of their voyage.
@Lacy Duckwing, this might be an opportunity for Liam?

Sorry for being MIA on here, it’s been crazy busy.

The Captain and Pinchbeck came out of deck and Achille signaled for men to come to his aid. Liam rushed over and stood tall, waiting for the Captain's orders. The Captain gave the orders, and Liam followed Pinchbeck to the "package."

Fitz turned his tawny gaze over the Captain to his choice men. “Ah, if you lift from that corner—“
His voice was cut short by Achille, who barked out a few quick commands, “You three, over there.”

@Lacy Duckwing
Feel free to do what you like since they’re just lifting a metal crate. 😆

Liam gave a quick nod and went to the corner. Two others stood on either side of him.
"On the count of three," Liam bent his knees an the others copied. Other men readied themselves at the other three corners and gave the nod of being ready.
"One, two, three."
The men lifted the heafty crate off the carriage and followed the Captain's and Pinchbeck's lead onto the ship.

Galen stood on the deck and watched, feathers bristling, feeling utterly defeated.
If Quasar’s training proved true, and with the head start he had, he could easily loose his assailant in the forest.
Many sketchy business dealings had taught him that taking the long confusing way back to your residence was always safer, so naturally he’d instilled it into his partner.
But if it didn’t work- no, he told himself, you promised you were done with that…
