I need to get rid of him!!!

Shortly after I bring home my chickens Cheb Cocó & his wives Gina & Ginger, one of the neighbor's free range roosters show up in my backyard trying both to fancy the hens & to fight my roo...

Seems to me he is the lower in range in his flock ( of 3 roosters and about 12 hens) the sleep on a tree on the neighbor backyard, and during the day free range in all the neighborhood, mostly in a near by tiny park.

This one fight my rooster trough the chicken wire a few times...until once he get inside when i opened the run door to feed my chickens and almost got killed by my rooster, I managed to take him out, and had the opportunity to do something about him...but i feel sorry for him and release him to his backyard thinking he wont come back. Next day another of the roosters which i think is the alpha of that flock fight my roo trough the wire, mine get hurt loosing one of his spurs and bleeding profusely... We try to make them go away, chasing them, and throwing them small pebbles every time we see them in our backyard , but this one (the one that almost got killed) decided to stay, he dont care for pebbles...

In the beginning he just hang around "Villla Gallina", trying to eat anything that fells around the run...and at night went home to sleep with his flock, but few days ago I went to see my chickens in the evening and I had to go back for the camera at this sight, now he not only spend the day hanging in my backyard and digging on my plants (have killed all the bell pepper, green pepper, and sweet peppers I planted lately). Now he want to sleep near my chickens, so when the enter the coop, he roost on their window planter!!!

I need to get rid of him! But I had mixed feelings... this scene made me smile, and feel tenderness, now I don't know if I hate him, love him or just feel feel sorry for him...

I would feel the same way you do. Conflicted. Have you tried talking to the neighbor who owns them? Explain he is fighting with yours, and yours was injured.

Yes I would talk to the neighbor. That their roo is getting into your yard and fighting your flock and chickens on both sides are getting hurt- possibly resulting in death. :( I'm sorry this is happening. He looks like he is trying to be adopted into your flock lol. Poor guy!

Don't even cross my mind they are an old couple and both suffer some grade of mental illness, the lady is the functional one (he is full time medicated) but sometimes assume a verbally agresive behavior so I wont dare to upset her and find me an enemy... In 7 years i live by their house I never saw her feeding the chickens and geese or anything, so I think that if I catch it (discretely) and give it away to someone else maybe she wont even notice... but i dont think i will feel comfort doing so either...

I would feel the same exact way. I would feel bad for the poor guy, but angry that he is pestering my flock. I think re-homing him would be the best bet, and make sure he goes somewhere with his own hens and will have a good life :) Keep us updated!
