The never ending molt (aka I miss my green eggs)

So how long does a molt last? Forever?

I have a chick that is 6 weeks old and s/he came from one of the last eggs my EE laid meaning its been about 9 weeks she has been molting.

ARGGGGGGGG!

She even goes to bed early like an old lady. (She is just over a year)

did your EE hatch her chick? My BO took about 6 months after brooding to lay eggs again...

Nope she has never been broody. I hatched her chick (along with 12 others) gave them to my serama and she kept 7 and rejected the 5 standard sized ones.

I have checked her for mites and her weight seems fine. Might add a light this weekend. The days are getting pretty short here.
