My DH has always wanted to do this...except in the midlle of the night on a country road, as a car is coming, run across the road far enough ahead not to get hit, but also for the driver to see. I told him that's a good way to get himself killed. "Hey y'all, WATCH THIS!"

Yes, I know...that is why we only joke about it. Never would actually do it. I was quoting a Jeff Foxworthy joke, "What is the last thing a redneck says before he dies?"...Answer: "Hey y'all, watch this!"

What did you do with all the dead raccoons? You know they're edible right? We just killed and ate one over the weekend (first time for me). It tasted like a cross between venison and beef...and was very tender with little fat!!! I did feel like a hillbilly/redneck but, even though the coon killed a couple of chicks first, I didn't think it was right to waste the meat. I think that it is wrong to kill animals just because they're an inconvenience...I mean, everything likes to eat chicken right?
