With 20 plus new chicks needing out of the house my good wife said it was time to build a new coop and run,
so here is what I built.

I started with a 4x4 frame 2x4 sheeted with 3/4 OSB

I then cut 4x4 corner posts and 2x2 backing boards screwed to the 4x4 posts

next I built the nesting boxes which fit in framing that I put on the side of the coop

then it was just a matter of filling in all of the sides with log siding, added a roof with cedar shingles and built the run.

So here it is the finished chicken cabin.

with the open nest box
I will be adding a new gate to the run but ran out of time on the weekend.
