The new guineas

Here is a pic of my new guineas I got to replace the ones that disappeared last fall. I believe it is a groupo of males as i have not heard any buckwheats

Nice looking birds, I love the royal purples, one of these days I'll have some of them

Nice looking birds.... I've heard that to sex them, you take them individually to where they can't see the others, and if they are female they will start yelling 'buckwheat' for sure. I did that with mine, and then put red leg bands on the female and a blue one on the male.

All males tends to be a little quieter! Except no eggs....
