Haven't been able to post pictures, but now I can:) So here's the new kids on the block/flock:)
Thanks for looking.

Above are Ruby (RIR) Snowy & Birch (Coronation sussex) born on May 20th
I think Snow is most likely a roo, tho he doesn't know it yet, he's quite a wussy which is fine these are finally integrated with my 1 year old girls, who tend to nail him off and on and he runs like a girl..Hopefully he will stay as friendly and nice as he is right now because I'll keep him if he does.

The above are Lily & Lu the lavender orps & Goldy Lemon Cuckoo born around 6/21 They are the SWEETEST babies..OF course chicken math struck again and 2 wks later I add 2 ameracunas, Beaker & Coco and an Olive Egger, Olive.. Beaker is a cross beak:( not sure if it will get worse as he/she ages and if it's a "he", I won't be keeping him, Snow will be the only rooster with this flock.. Beaker is the 3rd pic down, these were taken a week ago, his beak is more crossed right now:( but he eats and drinks just fine..The last pic they were in a small cage while I cleaned out their big brooder..

Very nice looking birds, agree that Snowy is a roo. Have Speckled Sussex, one of my favorite breeds, have been eying Coronation Sussex for awhile, they keep getting more tempting the more pictures I see.
In the guess the sex of the chicks game, I think that Lilly & Lu are Leo and Luther, agree on Goldy, of the other three vote the blackest one is a roo. And you don't have nearly enough birds to have a bad case of chicken math, yet.
Have never figured out why cross beaks grow like they do, some get better and some get worse, I usually try to file or clip them if it helps, but not sure there is really a lot you can do to straighten out the growth. Some are just going to get really bad and those nothing seems to make much of a difference. Long term, I've kept a couple of mild ones as pets/layers and they don't seem to get worse once they are about 3-4 months old, and don't really seem any different than the other chickens other than checking if the beak needs clipped once in awhile.

Thanks , I have a couple of speck sussex year olds that I really like as well:) Well I hope your wrong about Lily & Lu, !!! Time will tell...
