Correction please!!! With 300+ chickens it's amazing to me that there is any grass at all

How in the world do you manage to keep any grass?

Here is a picture of some of my Cochins (Silver Laced Rooster & Hen, blue,black,red and white. All the birds are just beautiful to look at!

We have 13 pullets/hens and it's hard to get them all into one photo. We purchased them all as chicks and have 6 different breeds; 2 barnevelders, 2 leghorns, 1 production red, 3 easter eggers, 2 barred rocks (all 24 weeks) plus 3 teenage black stars (15 weeks) that are still trying to fit in with the older girls.

Chickens in the snow (Our BLRW roo has since passed, but we just hatched his chicks!)

The new rooster, a GL Polish teenager, gets a challenge from the Partridge Cochin while the rest investigate the treats to be had at the kitchen door.

The new roo, Casanova, now acclimated and filling out nicely.



Soooooo super happy to live w/chickens now - I can't believe it took me this long to figure out where eggs came from!

Cat, Pug, Vizsla and Chickens! (One mutt dog outside guarding the rest of the chickens from bad visitors).
