Hey! We're the new neighbors of BYC! We have 6 hens and 2 roosters that our kids just couldn't part with! The hens are: 1 buff orp., 3 americaunas, and 2 brown leghorns. Jack is our "big baby" buff orp. & Charlie is a "calm but strong" ameraucana. We've had them for about 2 years? Still learning everyday!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a good flock of layers. I have some Buff Orpingtons in my flock. They are wonderful birds; very calm and gentle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC, glad to hear your flock is working out. Usually a rooster can handle 10 hens, and if there are less they can get severely overbred, especially if you have 2 roosters.
