I too am a new ducky mumma, my girls are apparently 6/7weeks old although I think one is from a younger hatch. I have had them 18 days. When I first got them home they was scared of everything within days spending hours sitting with them (them on the dining table so we are on the same level) we went from them being scared of hands, to understanding that these hands are what feeds them, to them being excited seeing me and watching me cook (they are in my kitchen/dining room) to being excited at hearing me coming, then eating from my hand in their indoor home, today they was eating from my hand in their outside pen, calling for me and following me round their pen. This could be because it was raining yesterday and I was finding slugs and giving them to the girls (who needs to forage when mumma will do it!!) Their heads are bobbing up and down and their tails waggle all the time. So i think they 'like' me. When it comes to cuddles I dont know what to do, I dont want to ruin the progress I've made but I need a ducky cuddle, actually I think I deserve one!!
This is
Bongo, the brown one who is my lunatic
Siren, the bossy loud one (at the back)
Buttercup, the one who always wants to be 1st (front of pool)
And Missy the one i think is youngest she is shy and the one i worry about (slightly off pic)

First, I would make peace that none may ever be cuddly but you won’t know if you don’t try.

What I did with the ducklings I had was find their favorite treat (peas work miracles), sit on the ground and have them crawl on their own into my lap to get their peas. Some did it and some didn’t. After that it was just slowly getting them used to being picked up and set in my lap - most didn’t like it but I did have one cuddle duck that would preen me and lay there until getting off to poop (a nice change from the chickens!)

Only thing I can say for certain, they still freaked out if I happen to accidentally block their site from their flock mates. Try not to do that or it’s insta-panic!

Thank you for the advice
