I used the traditional wire cages on mine but they aren't that sturdy. Especially when wild birds sit on them :lol:

That's a difficult question... I don't like that the fruit can push the cross bars down, but on the other side of that argument, I like that I can open a cross bar and push the plant back into the cage. They are too big for my dirt bags so having trouble keeping them up-right. Other than that, I really do like them.
