The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Been so busy with the whole work situation. Here it is:

I asked my boss to find a time to talk about work and she was avoiding it for awhile cause she knows I don't want to work there much anymore so then finally she picks the busiest day and time to sit down and talk. It was homecoming and everyone wanted pizza so the kitchen was crazy and as Lead Cook I was supposed to be in there but she pulled me aside during the whole rush.

When I finally got to talk to her I told her I was thinking about leaving and it was cause of my shift manager and the advances he's been making towards me. I told her that he was making sexual comments to me in front of everyone and was making me VERY uncomfortable. I told her he keeps texting me and calling me then gets upset when I don't answer him which I never gave him my number he found it on the wall.

I also told her that he was acting like we were dating and was getting super jealous at any coworker I talked to cause they were a guy. It was ridiculous then he would be a super a-hole just cause I was talking to my coworker. Heck he would yell at me and them if I was helping them do their job (meanwhile I help him do his job all the time). He got to the point he was kicking doors open and throwing stuff around and cursing at me over a MOP.

So with that being I said I told her all that and she said she would go grab him and bring him over and we can all sit and talk together which was the last thing I wanted to do cause I was going to be stuck with me for 6 HOURS that night after she leaves. So then she makes the comment "I'm having trouble believing any of this"......

YOU CAN ASK THE WHOLE KITCHEN. All the staff sees it and knows it goes on! I was so frustrated that she was taking his side and defending him. I then went home and told my parents and they told me to quit that job. The next day I went in she goes around the kitchen making jokes about our conversation! I was like are you kidding me?

Long story short I didn't show up for another shift cause I was so upset with the whole situation.

Oh and yes I almost forgot. The real kicker I didn't even finish my 2 weeks was not even an hour before work which was going to be a 7 hour shift I was putting a metal stake in the ground when it broke and ripped a whole chunk of my thumb out. I was bleeding quite a bit and there was a decent amount of flesh so I called my boss and told her and she told me to wrap it and come in anyway...so that was it for me. I went to hospital while that was going on and what bothers me is that she wants bloody bandages in people's food?

Well enough that he figured spending $120 on 4 pounds of fish was in the budget!

I'd just put it in their run, they'll get curious and once one tries it they will fight over the rest.

First not OK.
Second, given she is female I think she would be more likely to give you some credibility than a man might. Odds are she's been in your situation in the past.

SUPER NOT OK! Does she own the place, as in it is a franchise, or does SHE have a boss? There are now 2 people there that should be pounding the pavement looking for new employment.

GOOD!!! They don't deserve any more consideration from you.

Sorry you are learning about life the hard way there. At some point our society needs to cut this sexual assault crap OUT, it has gone on FAR too long already!!!

Sounds like you need to quit and she needs to be canned!
