The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning, everyone. I'm so far behind on my BYC alerts!
It sounds like a relaxing visit Debby, how nice for you both. I would love to see pics of his art if you share.
Likewise.
Kinda :sick ?
Stepmother had the avocado green refrigerator. Lasted forever.
My parents had the longest lasting, avocado green, appliances, that would not die. My dad refused a kitchen makeover, as long as they were still working. They lasted until the mid 80s.
I wish they still made them like that!
Hi. :frow

I was on my way in but found a few new members too welcome.

How's is everyone doing :)
Hi Marie.
That's the way it works with me too. I seem to be bussier since " retirement".
At one time, those colors were very fashionable...your mom was going with the trend. :)

Sometimes I wonder what people will say about what's "new" today. Do you suppose they'll groan over white kitchens and hardwood floors?
I believe they are already groaning over our choices. I've read that the open concept is out, which is probably a good thing. It looks great when it's new, but trying to watch TV, while the blender is running, is annoying.
I love white kitchens and hardwood floors. That was the dentists house yesterday:lol:
Well, there goes the price of teeth cleaning. They'll need to update soon. 🤣
Me too! When dad would come to visit I always had pumpkin bread for our breakfast. Dad and I always got up first in the family and we'd have a slice with cream cheese spread on it and a cup of coffee. Good times!
Once again, we need a "yummy" reaction 😋.
Those were in vogue back then!

Shag carpets were hideous things.
Imagine having allergies and shag carpet!
Growing up in the country, my Mom refused to have carpeting. It is too hard to keep clean with all the dirt and mud!
That's us. No carpet in this house, at all. A lakette and dogs, do not go well with carpet.
I said I'd share some of my son's watercolors so here they are (pardon the poor photography, that's all on me).

This is my b-day present from him (and that goofy grin :D )

(If you look to the right side of this picture, you can see Bam Bam's shadow  )

The next time DH comes home, he has some paintings to hang up!
Those are great, Debby! I know you must be so proud, and rightly so!
I've just ordered a new incubator as my very old, very cheap (but very reliable) one decided to give up the ghost.:hit Thankfully I wasn't in the middle of incubating or anything - I'd just wanted to put those cockatiel eggs in it, but thankfully I had the other boys sitting so I could share them round the other nests after I discovered my old incubator was intent on cooking them.

There's not a lot of choice here, especially at the cheaper end, so hopefully it will be $370 well spent.

My cockatiel eggs will hopefully start hatching soon. :jumpy
I hope you have a great hatch! What incubator did you buy?
Good morning everyone, happy Friday!

Hi Janie, with a job, a live-in MIL, animals and everything else, you do a great job of keeping up here!

Hope you have a terrific Friday!
