Not so good. I had to renew my sticker at the DMV. I went there at 9:00am and didn't get out until 12:05. I was stunned when they gave me a number, I was number 130.

Here you have to make an appointment. 3 months prior to your expiration.
I still don't understand why you have to take a birth certificate to renew. Isn't the license that they issued a valid i.d.???

right in to get tabs for my license plates. Rarely is there a wait time.

In Ohio all you need is your registration from the previous year and your driver's license, everything is different from state to state. Even the permits for wild waterfowl. I saw a post on BYC that stated no matter what state you live in you had to have a federal permit. Not true! You see when the international treaty was put into effect the feds didn't want to have anything to do with it, so they pushed it back to the states to pursue the issue. So, what that boils down to is if your state requires you to have a federal permit then you need one, if they don't then you don't need one. It's a continuous argument between them and they don't even know what they are doing. That's also like the septic regulations a total disaster. If they pushed the issue at this very moment, they would have to have to fine all the people in the county where I live. The question that arises is why the government wastes taxpayer's money on such nonsense. When will this foolishness stop. If you drive a hybrid car in Ohio your tag fee is 200. extra per year, if you drive an electric vehicle such as a Tesla your tag fee for one year is 300. extra. I went to school with the girl that owns the DMV she told me this today. I pull into the cancer center in Ashtabula and there is three Tesla's and an electric truck plugged into the charger. Go figure! at any rate everything seems to be a mess.
