Spinosad is the go to in California for Mites.
Elektor on the birds and something more low cost as a spray in the coops. If not in the sun, spinosad persists for a month in those cracks where the mites hide out.

Garden bug spinosad is sold in the garden center of stores now,

Glad to hear that!! Tam always said if they’re ornery enough to pinch her backside when she turns away, they’re ready to get the heck out!
