they are intuitive but it can be a tad confusing when setting up, eg. It will ask you to create an iCloud account and you may feel compelled to do so - BS - just use your gmail / yahoo email account. Its no biggie, but just an example.

The closest he got to surfing was in the Navy on an aircraft carrier. I'm sure they had some waves to contend with at times but probably not doing any Hang 10 moves.

Forgot to say thank you for that tip!

One of the things I'm wondering about is how to move photos from this old laptop to the new iMac. Hate to lose some of them. Any tips for that? Don't laugh...I really need an in-house IT pro living in my basement!
 
Do you have a portable hard drive USB thingy? If so drag them to that and then download to your mac. If you don't, its a good investment to keep things backed up and does not cost alot. Ain't nobody gonna laugh - only wanna help

So, tomorrow is our daughter's 50 th birthday. How the heck did that happen? Her first big surprise will be when she wakes up and finds that her son has returned from college in Ca. - He wasn't supposed to come home until Christmas. Her next surprise which will be announced tomorrow night is that her husband is taking her and the family on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean.

The downside to all of this is that we get to babysit the pugs.
