The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

We didn't have any real damage from the storm. A couple trees down, but not too close to the house. Several large and small limbs scattered about. And the plastic playhouse was a few hundred feet from where it was originally.
I guess the chickens got spooked, there were a couple of eggs dropped from the roosts.

My crew, I am so in love with the SS. They’re 3 months old now and the roo crows every morning. He has a pleasant crow, not high pitched.

I don't won't to bust your bubble, IM, but that chicken on the right, and the one in the background are prettier than the sussex gals! 🤣

I haven't had the best luck with speckled sussex. My first one was so mean, both to the other hens, and to me, that I rehomed her. I said I'd never have another. I was buying some brahma at TSC three years ago. This one little sussex was all alone in her bin. She was just screaming her head off. I brought her home. She has never been friendly, but she is beautiful, and a great layer. She wants to be a broody, but she gives up early, every time.

Today has been the day from Hades. I wanted to ask the moving company rep how they came up with the additional charges they emailed me about. He talked right over me, then yelled at me, complained about working on Sunday, and then hung up on me.

So...this could be interesting.
