Good morning DMC. I usually set those big stumps out of the way and let them sit out the winter. The frost loosens the dirt and you can burn them later when there's no chance of creating a runaway fire.

Yesterday DH and I had to make a trip to Pensacola for a doctor appointment. Afterwards we stopped in for a quick look at the Gulf Islands National Seashore. It's huge so we only got a peek, but what we saw was gorgeous! Definitely be going back when we can spend more time there.

Hi Mark! We have a monstrous pile of branches and dead trees that need to be burned. It’s been accumulating for years. It never seems to be the right time to burn it. He added a couple of these stumps to that pile. A couple of them were so big the excavator couldn’t lift them and he had to roll them with the bucket.
