The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

They took me back at 6:25 and procedure started at 7 on the dot (since when has THAT perfect timing ever happened?). I was done and awake a little before 11. They did let me come home - we got here a few minutes ago and Ken’s already in unpacking. I didn’t need the more extensive surgery after all, so they didn’t have to remove that 2” of colon, thank God! But the doctor said it wasn’t an easy removal and they did have to use clips to close it so I’ve got some restrictions. He was going to keep me overnight but decided that since we clearly understood what he was saying about my activities, he felt comfortable letting us go. Just when I felt like celebrating, he said I have to do a repeat in a few months. I was counting on a few years between these nasty procedures!

Anyway, I’m done! Thanks for the support. Love you guys!!

The doctor cleaned his ear out and he has some hearing which is good news. He still has some packing in his ear which is supposed to disintegrate. He goes back in 2 weeks. We’re moving in the right direction.

Yay! Do remember though, he can hear you now.

My sweet little man, ButterBean, is getting a new home and his own flock today. Silly as it seems, I'm about to cry. He is so dog like. But my hens have their favorite roosters. He'll have hens of his own, and that will make him happy.

The new girls will love your handsome boy Janie. A good rooster is meant to be missed. Maybe somewhere down the line, you can get a few of his future chicks?

Well, I may have some already. I'm not certain if any of the 8 are his. He has been randy with a few hens here and there. Unfortunately, he isn't their favorite rooster. I hate to deny him a flock of his own.

Hi Mad Sorry to hear about your husband. How long does he have to be in TX?

Stella was a cute pup and she's grown into a lovely girl

He's home now but it took 12 hours. Lol he says "never again".

By the way, @Madhouse Pullet we are only a couple of hours from Houston. Tell your husband to run on by, and I'll gift him with a rooster!

I remember watching roller derby back in the 60's every Saturday night on tv. I remember the Bay Area Bombers were really tough. They came to Ft. Worth one time and I went to see them. There was one big blonde headed girl that would knock your head off. She wasn't playing around.

That sounds pretty awesome! I've heard they were brutal back in the day. Now, I think there's more regulation. It has taken me a couple years to catch on

I'm here, I'm just stalking.
The baby is keeping me busy. I've also been watching DD2's 5 kids all summer. And about a month ago, DH came home from work with a 3 week old puppy.

Thank you. He felt way better today. He's been drinking lots o/f Gatorade and water.
