Good morning DMC, hope you find a phone you like today!

Good morning IM, guess you have babies to watch today :D What do the pups think of them?

Good morning Janie, hope your weekend is a good one too!
Good morning, Debby. Looks like a cold day with cloudy skies. I'll be making lemonade.
I can understand that. I think for us, we pay for a lot of stuff on them we don't use or need. DH and I were talking yesterday we might go back to dumb/simple phones next time.
Good luck finding one! They are really hard to come by. That's how my own dh ended up with a smart phone.

We're getting rain, rain and more rain. I'll be making soup, it's feels damp and chilly.

Good morning everyone 😊

Good morning DMC 😊

Good morning IM 😊

Good morning Janie 😊

Good morning Debby 😊
Good morning, Sue.
I agree. Do they make dumb phones anymore? I do use my phone a lot. I forever am googling something.
Likewise. I rarely use our desktop and I don't use a tablet at all anymore. I guess that's why our little handheld mini computers are so expensive.
Good morning all. have a good day. 🌹
Good morning, Mark. I hope you are feeling better today 💕

Hi IM! How are the chicks this morning?

Good morning Janie, yes.
Happy shopping DMC. I haven’t been outside to check on the chicks this morning yet, it’s still dark here. I had to put them under the brooder plate last night at dusk, but they stopped peeping and cozied up together.

Good morning Debby. The dogs only know about the babies because they could smell them on my hands. I don’t trust Layla at all, Abby is definitely questionable and Frank used to be somewhat safe with supervision; it has been quite some time since we had chicks in the house so this batch is brooding in the small coop.

We had some issues between the dogs over the bunnies and I don’t want to take any chances in that regard either.

I use my phone for everything it seems. I also have a watch which comes in really handy when I don’t want to carry my phone.

I've always been afraid to order chicks by mail. I'm pretty sure I'd be a nervous wreck. I want some bantam females, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
Ideal is in Cameron TX, not that far from you. Overnight should really be overnight.

And unfortunately, it seems deliveries haven't been as dependable as they were a few years ago. Postal employees may disagree with me, but that's what I have personally experienced.
They would not disagree! SERIOUS lack of carriers. You should hear the list of open carrier positions just in Vermont that DW read off to me the other day. Towns with several open routes. They prioritize packages (because the higher ups say to do so). And if live animals show up, they will get them out though yeah, the actual person doing the delivery is key.

I have come home to find a box on the ground in front of the porch door when the chicks didn't arrive at the airport early enough to get to the P.O.. When that happens they are taken to a different location which makes the deliveries directly. Fortunately it was early June (I never get them any other time of year now) and they weren't out there more than an hour as I came back from shopping about 11:30. Could have been ugly if I were still working and didn't get home until 5 PM. And that assumes no animal came by and ripped open the box of snacks.

Most of the time they arrive at the P.O. and I get called since I let them know a couple of days beforehand. I'm already dressed to go pick them up when I get the call unless I've checked tracking and see they were already dropped at the PO, then I'm in my car halfway there when the call comes :D No need for them to be in the back, then in carrier's vehicle for several hours driving everyone nuts with their constant loud cheeping. They settle right down once they get in their brooder box with Mama Heating Pad :D Everyone prefers if you pick them up ASAP even if the P.O. service window isn't open yet.
