The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thank you. Mostly tractor work, but he puts a lot of time and effort into it. We use pine needles for mulch, so I do a lot of raking and hauling.

Do you can and/or freeze the extra veggies? Or do you have plenty of family to help eat everything?

Really! Maybe? 🤣
But Queenie is so cute, and so determined, that I just had to join the Easter hatch thread.

Aww, good luck to the little lady!

I rehomed another rooster, along with his favorite hen yesterday.
The couple that took them, drove an hour to get here.
They sent me several pictures last night. The rooster and his lady appear to be settling in and enjoying their new flock. 😊
That’s always good news Janie!

70’s are good for relaxing, 60’s are good for working lol. I’ve been wielding a shovel quite a lot lately.
I agree! I hate sweating, but it's good for me, I guess. 60s are perfect for shoveling and raking.

I plan to freeze. I'll can some tomatoes. All the neighbors have their own gardens, but the kids will take some.

Me too. It's a hobby for my husband, but it is sure nice to have the fresh vegetables! I think he goes a little overboard. I told him he should just keep a smaller garden, but gardening is the one place where he lacks self-control. He has containers on the porches, at the end of the house, and raised beds in the yard. I hope we can manage it all.View attachment 3444373

Good morning Sour, happy birthday to your son! It's surprising how quickly our kids get old when we hardly age a day...one of life's little mysteries
