She's a little better - been switching back and forth between her two day houses. The new house just arrive - now to assemble it.

Double header baseball game - makeup game because of the weather - windy, temps in the 'feels like' range in the 40's - showers - we'll watch from home. Wonder when these kids go to class?

Good luck to the boys with their games! Watching from home sounds like a good idea.

Good Morning!

The City of Davis, CA has had two murders since Thursday and another stabbing last night. The recent victim is alive but in critical condition. Before this, the last murder was 5 years ago.

I parked closer to my office this morning to avoid walking over the creek. The stabbing last night was a bit less than a mile from my office so I am being extra careful.

I hope they catch the person soon!

Good morning everyone. Had a pretty hard day yesterday with a loose crystal, did the epley three times throughout the day. It worked. I'm not holding onto walls today..sure did mess with my Vestibular Migraines though. Will take a few days to get back to what normal dizzy is for me. Just glad the room isn't spinning. If any of you have had that you know what I mean.-- Was in the 80's here yesterday. Today..70's. Thursday some rain. We're not out of the woods for flooding yet. A lot has happened in the north part of the state. Salt Lake City is lined with sand bags. A lot of snow left on the mountains. We actually had volunteers bagging sand for our River Bottoms here in the town I live in. I'm in central Utah. -- Have a good one!

The Davis High School had shelter in place this morning.

I suspect that evening classes will be cancelled on the UC Davis campus. The Academic Senate is meeting this afternoon to decide what to do.

We had a scare in our state last month. They had a threat. Our little Ashton was in pre school. Even at his young age he knew something was wrong when they came over the speakers talking to the teachers about the school going into lockdown. He told us all about it when he got home. He says..we had a lock out! The High School had the National Guard outside. Some of the schools north did too. Come to find out..it was fake. Kids. A bunch had been dared to spread the word. They were looking for who started it. Never did hear.

When my DW was teaching, they had some phoned in bomb threats. The student was usually trying to get out of taking a final.

Back around 1979 or 1980, the health insurance company I worked for was getting hit with bomb threats routinely. Every time, the whole company would have to evacuate and the authorities had to clear the building. It would take about 1/2 a day to do all that and then get employees back into the buildings. Finally, the board made the decision that employees would no longer be evacuated for bomb threats because it wasted too much company time.

I told my then-DH if I ever got blown up at work, he better sue the pants off the company for not protecting me (and other employees). Funnily enough, when that decision was made by the board to stop evacuating, the bomb threats stopped. We always wondered if it was an employee pulling that stunt.
