The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My husband takes a dose of that daily and he says they help with the cramping.

Supposedly you can get enough potassium by eating things like bananas and leafy greens but he can't seem to get enough that way.
I can't. I've actually ended up in the hospital for lack of. Yes they gave me a bag of bananas..and my Magnesium was low once so I now take the horse pill of potassium, prescription, and OTC Magnesium. Haven't been back to the hospital since. First time they notice my potassium was low is when I went to have shoulder surgery. After blood checked like they do they said nope, your potassium is 2 points away from us putting you in the hospital for that. Long story short, I never went back for the shoulder surgery..and it's doing OK!

Doing OK. :) Hope you're ..happily getting some things organized. It's a Saturday. Folks find themselves either using it as a get things done day, or go out and have fun day. So far, went shopping, finally got my son a card. Couldn't find one for a son at other stores, finally found one and got him a couple of new shirts for his new job. Then home, to water/feed my plants outside. 🪴

Sounds like a nice day :)

My husband went on a blood pressure pill which gave him low potassium. He takes 4 prescription potassium a day. It did the same thing to his mother.

I also keep getting freaking leg cramps every morning 🙄🙃😭 but this morning was especially bad. I had like 3-5. Usually it’s 1-2. It sucked so bad.
Try electrolytes. I buy Ultima from Amazon. About $20 for 20 single packs. Also remember stretch your hamstrings and calves before bedtime every night.

I'm good. Anyone have an idea what to do about 'itching' caused by the antibiotics? I'm eating yogurt to replenish the good bacteria.
You shouldn't be itching unless it is an allergic reaction. If you have red skin or raised bumps, you should let your doctor know asap.
It can be serious. I've seen antibiotic reactions that were so bad the skin started to peel off like a second degree burn. It can also cause respiratory distress.
In the meantime try oatmeal baths.

Are you drinking plenty of water throughout the day Kelsey?

Potassium. Small dose for you.

Thanks everyone! I try to drink enough water but idk if I do. I do drink Liquid IV a lot which I think has electrolytes and potassium in it but it’s expensive. I’ll have to look into the ultima.
