I am back from my adventure in the attic!

The new gable fan is installed. I need to wait until it is hot enough for the thermostat to turn it on now.

I manage to not fall through the sheet rock and have no injuries LOL!

I replaced this one in 2018. The Motor froze up last year.

I have replaced the AC here with mini splits and that is working very well! I now have some good energy saving things setup: Mr. Cool Quiet and cool whole house fan, Gable fans for both the lower and upper attics(not connected), a new ceiling fan downstairs with the vaulted ceiling and 5 zones of min split.

So far it is working well. Last month we used 15% less energy than the same month last year. The estimate for this month is 28% less with two weeks to go this month.

I already saved a lot last winter using the mini splits(we had two zones then) to heat. Similar houses here had 5 to 6 hundred monthly bill and kept their houses close to 65F. We were comfortable and the highest bill was $304.00.

My Mom had to make payment so pay off Her bill last year. This winter will be better for her after We installed a 4 zone mini split for at her place.

The humidity and temp go down tonight and there will be a breeze. That will be good. The worst for me is the bug bites. I’ll be in the camper before dark.

I also got a knee injection this morning. Hopefully it will last until the next one! I did manage 4 months on the last injection.
