DMC your day playing yesterday sounds like a lot of fun, glad you enjoyed yourself.

IM, are you working on your backyard again today? DH worked on building his shed all day long yesterday and is so sore this morning. He said he was going to take the day off to recuperate, but if I'm not mistaken, that's a power tool I hear running outside.

Janie, did you sneak a spare cat up to MN during the night?

Good morning Debby Maybe your DH will just do a little bit, but he’s a lot like Igor in that regard! What are you up to?

We are putting together the rest of the raised beds so we can get them outside at least (they’ve been in boxes in my living room for three months waiting for cooler weather). I was up really early so I watered, but indoor chores need doing today. I’ll be outside working on stuff each morning this week so we can hopefully finish a few things out there next weekend.

Apparently DH's idea of taking it easy is to work all day but not climb a ladder. He's been building shed trusses in the driveway.

I've just been catching up on piddly stuff like emails, sorting out books on my bookshelves, deep cleaning the cat box (eww!), etc. And I've been looking for new soup recipes to try out now that colder weather will be here soon.

I just put a loaf of cream cheese banana bread in the oven. I don't know for sure what we're doing for dinner, but I know what we'll have for breakfast tomorrow!

We might have jumped the gun a little but we have had chili 2-3 times already on the nights it was going into the 40's.

Yum, chili is perfect when it's chilly We've only had it once so far, but will definitely be making more before long.

I need to clarify, it's me that's dragging my feet about getting chickens again. DH has said he'll build me a coop/run anytime I give the word. I'm just not ready to pull the trigger yet.

I do not know; did something bad happen that you don't have chickens and are dragging your feet or is there some simpler reason? I wouldn't blame you if it was the former reason as there are some horrific stories I've read about and I think I'd have quit too.

Do you do like I do and make enough to feed a small army so we have leftovers for a couple of days? It's like spaghetti sauce, always better the next day!

I do not know; did something bad happen that you don't have chickens and are dragging your feet or is there some simpler reason? I wouldn't blame you if it was the former reason as there are some horrific stories I've read about and I think I'd have quit too.
