We bought a GE this time and so far it has performed flawlessly. Wife wanted a bottom drawer type freezer on it that has the ice maker in it. We do have a second fridge that came with the place for excess produce and is a place to store up to 35-40 dozen eggs.

I had to replace the motor on the ice crusher. I bought it from Appliance repair online and replaced it my self. It has been working for 6 or 7 years now.

No, the biggest problem was too warm in the fridge and freezing in other parts. Some of the complaints were from food poisoning.

That would make it even more difficult I would guess. Too sad for the family.
