The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

For those of you who have sensitive damaged skin and were looking for input...

I can't tolerate most soaps, dishwashing detergent, sanitizers. I finally found soap that helps to keep my hands from shedding (dermatitis):

Goatmilkstuff.com

They also have solid lotion sticks that do an excellent job of moisturizing without a greasy feel.

When despite my best efforts my hands start to crack I apply zinc oxide, especially around my cuticles. Globe brand sells it without a lot of additives, just mineral oil and petrolatum.

My final remedy is a paraffin bath. It not only helps with skin issues but the warm paraffin makes my arthritic hands feel better. Get the unscented paraffin.

I can vouch for the paraffin baths! I've had surgery on both hands and part of the therapy included those...they were wonderful! Never thought about getting a home version, thanks @fuzzi
