It's going to be 15° here Wednesday unless something changes it for better or worse. Then a few nights of low 20's that will stiff freeze our chicken watering fountains. I don't like it but I don't have to put up with the Love Bugs like central FL does.

If I didn't have chickens We'd consider having a large RV Trailer that we could leave in a campground down around Venice on the coast to spend winters in. I'd have to have some fishing lessons now. Yeah it's been a long time since I wet a hook. Speaking of hooks, I understand that Edison spent many hours sitting on his doc on the water front fishing with an unbaited hook. He made sure his thought train would not be interrupted.

Why don’t they just cut down the trees so that it doesn’t keep happening?

That would be logical, and in some areas they have/are doing that, but I see little activity in our township.

Good morning everyone. Charcoal is starting for the steak, country ribs, & some chicken thighs. Our baby turned 50 yesterday and she got to come today to celebrate.

We went to the park and then grocery shopping. I was surprised by the bill at the store, less than what I expected based on the amount we walked out with. I did notice that the bouquets that I’ve been getting for $5 are now $6. Five bucks was pushing it.

Ugh, love bugs are awful! When we lived in central FL, we used to get so many of them at particular times of the year. YUCK!
