The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone!

Sour, you did a good job of commanding the troops yesterday...bravo my good man

The trip to Cheyenne was uneventful...we got our errands taken care of and had lunch with my brother & his wife. Also ended up buying a new bed, can hardly wait for that to be delivered...maybe a decent night's sleep is in the near future.

Teila, I have a cousin that's done greyhound rescue for years. She's done a remarkable job placing 100's of them all across the U.S. (and kept a few for herself over the years). Good work on your sister's part, whether she keeps Freddie or finds him a forever home.

Blooie, pretty cool you guys have buffalo up there. Love seeing those huge shaggy beasts!

Morning Debby,

Hope the new bed is comfortable. OMG cannot imaging traveling in y'alls weather. We had only rain here instead of the snow, and folks all stayed inside "just in case"

Blooie - we have Buffalo in Middle Georgia - there's a farm near Milledgeville that raises them for meat sales - the first time we stumbled across it , had to do a U turn to make sure we had not imagined a field of buffalo

Hi Sunflour!

The day and roads were fine going to Cheyenne. The winds picked up later in the day and there were a few patches of drifting snow on the way back but DH is a careful driver and we did fine.

A guy I used to work with in KS raised buffalo. They are fascinating looking animals (and tasty too)!

Have you had any trouble with the storms down your way? You didn't end up with any snow did you?

. Only some ice spots on the road yesterday am....but our deck was slippery - DH "skated" across early yesterday am to check on our flocks water - and it was not frozen. But this am was supposed to hit 19 F - so will be going out at sunup and deal with frozen water.

One of my favorite puns...

Guess I've not had enough coffee yet..had to read this 3 times to get it

19 is a pretty cold temp for you there...be careful with the ice skating!

We're going to have a warmer day today...somewhere in the low 20's I believe
