We lived in the boonies, like an hour from town, and a tornados came through our area a lot. I remember spending many nights in the root cellar.

Wow, that is high considering you aren't even leaving the state. We paid $8800 to hire movers to get us all the way from WY to FL back in 2022.

Is selling/donating a bunch of stuff to lower the price an option Sue? Or do an auction? That might help enough to make the move more affordable.

I've been donating all my work stuff and tons of clothes, and kitchen stuff. Plus we are not taking all of the furniture because there isn't room in the smaller house.
IM going to keep packing up the truck every day to move as much as I can. A lot of stuff is already in plastic bins, so it just needs to be moved, no packing or unpacking

I forgot to add that in my load today, I was moving those tables that fold up and it landed on top of my foot in the process of unloading it. I now have a nice big purple bruise

Sue I am so sorry. Is it possible to hire a couple of high school kids to help? Is there a local church that might have members who would help?
