I never have been able to make them. My crust was never as good as my mother's. And now I use almond flour, so I know it wouldn't hold up to frying.

and you also! I tricked the swans into laying more eggs! I pulled the first eggs when it was cold out and when she started to go broody and put them back and to my surprise she started laying again my last count was 12 and she is sitting now. If I get a few I will be happy!
