The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thinking about the Black Australorps we had...maybe ours were just the bad apples. We started with 3...1 did a kamikaze dive into the coop wall and broke her neck. 1 was broody almost non-stop. And the other was a complete B to all the other birds, very nasty tempered thing.

Funny because most members talk about how wonderful they are. Ours were total jerks.

here is why you watch your manners, and act right, when there are cowboys around.......

TK, I have shown this to all the members of my family, and they all laughed and cheered. Horses, bikes, everyday heros - what's not to love about it?

Quote: I think she must have something really broody in the background. I've had a bunch of EE's over the years, and none of them ever showed any interest in brooding at all. Of course, they'd have had to move the Silkies (almost typed "Sillies" - maybe my fingers know better than my brain!) or Cochins to even see the eggs once they were laid. I've had Silkies that were broody for months!

And that lovely smile he has :) Have you ever tried to lasso? I have and it's not easy, even if the target is stationary.

Sillies - I like that, every time I have seen a Silkie they make me smile:)

they are much stronger than a person would think.......

did you know, you can't let go of the rope fast enough to not get drug sever feet?

Hi Bunny and TK!

Silkies are kind of silly looking...they always make me think of little people dressed in chicken outfits.

TK, sever feet? No thanks, think I prefer my feet unsevered.
