It is beautiful today. I just got done processing 10 quarts of tomato juice. I’m glad I could have windows open.

We are supposedly getting our first snow the middle of October. I hope that is wrong. It has been such a weird year. Many trees/bushes around the area lost their leaves…I assume to a fungus of some kind. My sister lost all the leaves off her lilacs. They started coming back and are now blooming. She’s 3 hours North of me.

Sounds like the trees and bushes are confused! Are you guys all done with harvesting?

We haven’t started yet. We’re hoping our son’s soybeans will be ready this week. Ours shouldn’t be too far behind. Bean harvest is usually the end of September and corn is October. The farmer my son works for started taking corn today.
