I had someone come yesterday to pick up a set of band bells I was selling. I saw the wife checking out my cats. I asked if they’d like some cats. They left with my last 3 kittens. I will miss them, but I know they will be treated good. It will save me about $600 because I was going to have them fixed this month. We caught a stray in the live trap yesterday. He was either dumped or wandered in. He is not too wild because I could touch him through the holes of the cage. I locked him in the chicken coop to see how he does.

I'm still missing my big boy. I'm going to contact the people he is with to see if I can send him some catfood for Christmas.

In other news, someone contacted me this morning to say they saw a boxer walking along side the hwy. I jumped in the truck and took off that way. Sure enough it was Maggie. Unfortunately she ran into the woods when I stopped. I've contacted a rescue to see if they can help me trap her. She looked healthy enough so someone is feeding her, but she doesn't need to be running up and down a busy highway.

Wow, Maggie is still around! Hope you can get some help trapping her so she can be safe. Good luck Janie, keep us posted!

We have started making plans. I'm not sure who will be here and when. The kids are trying to coordinate a day to come. At least the 3 girls are. One of my boys for certain won't be here. They aren't traveling for the holidays this year because their 16yo dog has terminal cancer. The other boy says he may have to work. (He's self employed but his boss is a slave driver)
I've told them that I'm cooking one meal, anyone who shows up on a different day will be eating leftovers.

Sorry to hear about your one son's dog, it's understandable they won't be leaving home.

But it still sounds like you'll end up with lots of family to share the holiday with!
