Wow. Hope that didn't sound like bragging. It actually brought back some great memories. Also some sad as my son went through numerous surgeries. He's out on his own today. Sure scared me when he decided to move out. He has on going health issues but handles them well. In fact getting ready for a surgery now. Not a big one but yet another.
He's in his 40's now.

It's really awesome that he's able to take care of himself. A testament to you for preparing him for independence. Any surgery is a big deal. I will be praying for him.

Good morning Rene! That cracked me up lol! Well... since they wouldn`t give up a pizza i`m taking my sweetheart to our favorite restaurant for lunch! And a bit of shopping afterwords! Have a great day!

Your birthday is shared with my favorite hen, Busy Bee. She was a left behind egg that I hatched inside. Since all the broodies had older chicks I had to raise her indoors.
She is 3 years old today

Your birthday is shared with my favorite hen, Busy Bee. She was a left behind egg that I hatched inside. Since all the broodies had older chicks I had to raise her indoors.

That is how I got addicted to hatching back in the day. Had a hen go broody. BYC friends suggested I have an incubator ready just in case. Well, she had been real good laying on those eggs, until she wasn't! She got off one day to eat and do her business and didn't return. I hurried and warmed up the incubator not knowing a thing about this business. And..thats all she wrote when those babies hatched.
