The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Crazy cats! Hope you feel better soon. :hugs

Here's the cutie we are keeping, and then our son quietly said to me he wished we could keep his favourite, who we've called Chilly as it's the most chilled out bird (unless it's time to wash his/her face). It's not the prettiest bird but it's honestly so laid back its nearly horizontal. The first time the cat jumped up next to it it didn't even flinch, whereas it sent the others into their hissing, swaying routine. So looks like we are keeping two!

Here's the gorgeous Dottie - I forgot about taking a photo before she ate but she didn't get too mucky and just needed her front wiped:

The breeder also dropped off two more chicks to us yesterday. He would've brought them today but the weather is packing up in a big way. My backyard was drying out - it wasn't a work-out getting through the mud to the chickens (not that I don't need a work-out!), but it's been raining all night, it's still pouring now, so it'll be back to sloshing through the mud.

Beautiful! How nice you were able to keep your son's favorite too :)

Good morning friends!

Gunna be another muggy one with 88F predicted and currently the relative humidity is 74% .. no sign of rain, sadly.

Gees, I hope you feel better soon CapricornFarm.

Chimee loves drinking from the tap but Syba, not so much and he is the one who we need to ensure keeps up his water intake. The three wet food meals a day will definitely be helping. He is still doing wonderfully well and I am really optimistic that the blood tests this Friday will be promising. Not looking foward to yet another 4 hour round trip with a 'not so happy to be in the car' cat but no chance I will ever take any of my babies to the local vet again.

Tee hee sunflour thank you and yes, may be Syba was not happy that he had not been mentioned on BYC of late and was trying to fix that ;)

I picked up my new phone yesterday and believe it or not, managed to drop it into one of the many cat water bowls now around the place only hours after getting home; luckily it only clipped the corner and just a small amount of water on the exterior .. not sure how I would have told hubby that my new, 3 hours old phone was dead :p

Jae Dottie and Chilly are adorable! :love

N F C Thank you, yes, many, many trips up and down the stairs is certainly paying off. It does not matter how well I try and plan it so that I only have to make one trip, I always forget something and have to go back up.

Some pictures from a neighbouring town we visited for fish and chips on Fathers' Day .. it is just so beautiful here! We really did relocate to paradise ... remind me I said that when summer full on arrives and I am melting :p

Hubby likes the new T-shirt I bought him ;)

Plans for today are to finish off the already started housework, water the lawn, vegie garden and other assorted plants, trip into town for some groceries, yet more washing and hopefully some down-time.

Have fun everyone!

He is too big for that, but he does get his feet wet.View attachment 1154501
When they were little i always kept the lid down for that reason.

Buddy did slip in both the tub and the toilet when young, but it hasn't stopped him from wanting to drink from toilets. Although, he does lead me to sinks and "demand" I turn those on for him. Don't tell anyone about the toilet drinking....since he is my baker

They are all gorgeous :) Hope your rain stops a little to let you're are dry.

We really did relocate to paradise

You are in paradise... color me jealous, honestly wish I could actually visit :)
I knew the cat was just wanting to "borrow" the phone and is now laughing that you dropped it into its bowl ;)

Oh man...you get the beach AND fish & chips?!?! No fair :hit

P.S. Funny t-shirt, lol.

Cool water bowl, where did you find it?
Amazon of course ;) I also got a new kind of litter that is cheaper on Amazon but also carried at Petco. I feel kinda bad about having the UPS guy delivering 40 pound bags of litter so I stopped at the local Petco. Guess what brand of litter they don't carry at THAT store.

Me too!

Still searching for my "secret place," I stash important things. Things are absolutely safe there because I can't remember where, "where " is.

That would be really weird if all stashers found out they were putting VIP stuff all in the same place. I think we would have to share the spoils, if ever found.

Morning all :frow

@sunflour even with his 'drinking' problem, Buddy is still ok with me. Just be sure he doesn't lick the mixing bowls when he's baking, lol.

Looks like we're in for rain turning to snow this afternoon. I'll be home from work warm and cozy by then. Yesterday I picked up stuff to make Hot Toddy's and didn't get the chance to try it last night...I'm thinking tonight will be about perfect for it :)

Morning all :frow

Good Morning Debby :frow

Teila, what a gorgeous place to live . Hope you all will be happy there for many, many, many, years to come. Did the girls travel well?

Yep, the girls were little legends! With van rides, waiting at the airport, flights and more van rides, it was a long day for them and the puddy cats but all arrived safe and sound. I, on the other hand, was an absolute mess waiting to hear how they were
