Bay bunnies came spilling out of the nestbox today. They were suddenly there, and everywhere.

Hhhhm, somehow managed to mess up the above multi quote .. still getting my head around how everything works but so far, I am liking it!
It does take a bit of getting used to but you're getting it!
I just looked out and it is snowing like crazy! Need to figure out how to turn the heat up down here in my little computer room, it's chilly.
I am drinking water again. Might have a cup of tea later. Feeling poorly, ear infection and a cold coming on.
I can’t believe your getting snow! We haven’t gotten a frost yet. Hubby was able to start combining beans today. We could use a frost as the stems are tough yet. Hopefully the week goes well and the rain stays away for 6 weeks ...or till spring! I cleaned my basement today. There was 25 years worth of crap down there. I am donating a lot of stuff. Purging feels great!!Quinton got laid off for the season on Friday... just in time to help the farmer he’s worked for the last 4 years. Colton took the week off to help a friend haul sugar beets. It’s a good money making week for him but sleep deprivation goes with it

I'm saying a quick hello before life gets crazier! The cockatiel breeder rang me just before. He's got an older chick he was going to keep for breeding that he noticed had an enlarged abdomen. She's also got a foot that doesn't work quite right. He thinks the first time parents have landed on her at some point getting into the nestbox. Her abdomen has gone down but they aren't feeding her anymore. He's given her a bit of egg food to get her through the night but he'll drop her off tomorrow with a couple of little ones he was going to bring me later in the week as they are still quite little. That'll bring my total up to 14!!!![]()

I want to keep them all, but hopefully some will find homes, 7 more is a bit too many. That makes 1 who really likes it. Actually I'm used to it now.
Move to a warmer area, I think you have a notebook or is it a PC? I'm jealous of the snow but not your temperatures. We're only in the 80's but high humidity and way too warm for October
So sorry, hope you get well soon.
Duh, what is "combining beans"?
Good for you on the purge, I'm trying to absorb some of your energy to do the same

They are so darn cute. Did you say you were keeping them all?
You need a Mama Heating Pad brooder for raising birds. Besides being way more natural (and safer) than heat lamps, that heating pad can be used year round for other things when not being used to brood. Like warming YOU!!No lugging the iMac upstairs for me, but I did find an extra lap blanket that is working just fine.

It is a guinea miracle! I fell asleep this afternoon and did not wake up until after dark. The guineas, only 3 of them and the EE pullets were in the run. That leaves 11 unaccounted for. I thought they might be up in trees. I opened the pop door so the young chickens could go in the coop. Then i went to turn the light on in the coop. What a surprise to see 11 guineas in the other half of the coop!!! A modern day miracle! I had the back door open to diffuse ammonia and they just got up in there! Maybe they are not zombie birds after all?![]()
