The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I got a cute photo yesterday. Pinkie Pie has a helper - her daughter, Rosie, that I ended up hand rearing. Rosie was one of their first chicks and she started looking a lot smaller than her brother. I took both chicks as I thought keeping them together was kinder. Her brother, Pie, has never been an overly friendly bird - he's a bit highly strung. Pinkie doesn't seem to mind and I know Rosie is feeding the chicks as she has food all over her beak. These babies are very calm too and I can pat them without them getting scared. I'll have to clean out their box soon so hopefully they'll continue to take it all in stride.

When you have very few feathers getting cleaned up after meals makes you cold.

Go Debby chicken! You can do it! Wouldn't a tie be funny?!

@Teila you have been working hard! I think your elbow deserves a break! It looks amazing though - I'm sure you'll be glad of all that shade come summer.

They are so photogenic!

Good morning Debby and all! What are you going to do with all your time? Is your snow still sticking around? We got 3/4 of an inch of rain yesterday so harvest is done for a day or 2 again. We got out all our beans but 40 acres which will probably go unharvested. Not much going on around here today... laundry and changing bedding.

Nice reference :D
Veronica and I are OK with a tie, we are all friends here ;)

All is quiet in the coop this morning, but will do an egg search at noon:)
In the meantime I must search back to find the pics to post as my avatar :th:D

Good morning!

J, cute pictures. DMC is right, they're very photogenic!

Today's the last day of this season at the golf course! Tomorrow starts the big clean up, that'll take a few days then I am DONE (until next year)!
:wee

Now that's good news, so you will soon be able to rest and try to keep warm ;)

Hi DMC, 40 acres unharvested, that has to be frustrating.

Sorry you weren't able to get all of your harvest in before the rain came again.

I have big plans for all my free time...I'm planning plenty of nothing! It's my favorite thing to do, lol. Actually, there are several little things I want to get done here at the house. And I have been saving recipes to work on this winter so I'll have some new things to offer next year at the restaurant (deserts mostly)...want to be a taste tester?

Don't give up on Chicken Debby yet, she might still surprise us all. But just in case, I have those avatars saved ;)

Keep us posted!

It is! He is going to start on corn tomorrow or Tuesday depending how wet the ground is... hoping for wind!! He’s had 2 breakdowns which thankfully he could fix himself but it puts a guy behind:rolleyes:It will get done eventually...

Will the corn be the last crop to be harvested DMC? Hope you all can get that in without too much trouble.
