Announcing Debby's first egg . She laid this about 30 minutes ago.

So best we not proceed with the bet, but hey .... one of mine laying and for sure the others will soon, then it is a win-win situation.

Thanks - she was sounding irritable today, in and our of little and big coop and I knew she was ready. Was about to post the cancellation when I noticed she was out and about with no attitude, so had to go see....It's a beautiful egg. Saving to add to my Chicken Tree ornaments

Whew, I need a nap.

With my 2 wonderful employees today, we cleaned 2 ovens (the super colossal size), 2 smokers (including grills), a flat top, a 4-burner stove top (cast iron no less) and a grill. Our arms quit working so will have to do the humongous frier tomorrow (oh joy).

Looking at funnies on the internet was the best medicine (and celebrating Chicken Debby's lovely new very first egg)!
