The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning friends :hugs

Vent time! I had a huge vent typed up and then deleted it because I felt bad. But, I am starting to feel taken for granted and like the hired but unpaid help around here! I am getting tired of picking up after people and I seem to get no time to myself! Remember that bit of garden I cleaned out under the stairs? Went down the stairs yesterday to find 2 x empty wine cartons just tossed in there!

I hit the ground running in the morning and do not stop until bed time while others mooch around, playing computer games, watching videos etc. I am not one for just sitting and I like to keep busy and even if sitting, I am probably doing my cross stitch, but that busy does not include picking up after other people or recleaning where I just cleaned because people are too lazy to put stuff away. I am a very patient person but my very long fuse is rapidly decreasing in size! I feel an imminent explosion about to happen :mad:

Anyways, vent over and thank you for giving me the opportunity to vent. We can now return to our usual program ;)
Sometimes it makes you feel better to just get it off your chest!:hugs

The sooner you go, the sooner you'll be back!

When you come back I want to hear how the barn kitties are doing.
Hey Debby and all! Barn kitties are doing good. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the three I have left but only the siamese was here tonight. They are always here in the morning. I got wormer for the outdoor cats the other day when I went to the vets for Hatties stuff. I mixed it in a can of catfood three days in a row and they all ate it so hopefully it did the trick. I assume they had worms as Spuds did when we found him last fall.

Thanks all :hugs Yep, it is good to get it off the chest and I do feel better already .... that might also have something to do with the fact that I was thinking of going to our company Christmas party in November so, I just booked the flights!! :wee

OK, it is only an overnighter but I get to dress up and have some fun, spend the evening on my best friend's couch and hopefully catch up with my son!

Now, when I feel 'used' I have something to look forward to :D

Sounds like the house I cleaned at today...by the time I finished I could start over again. I’m trying very hard to tough it out but I’m getting angrier every time I go.

@Teila :hugs

Maybe try something like I used to do with my 2 boys...enlist their help (even if you don't really need it) by saying things like, "hey whatsyourname, help me do whatever", get started on the chore together and find an excuse to walk away (going to the bathroom for extended periods of time usually worked as a good excuse...I kept a novel in there to read while they kept working;)). That worked well after I did it often enough with dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc. Pretty soon they got the hint that they were going to have to do it by themselves :lol:

Or, just leave it all for DH. You do your part and let him do the rest.

That's all I got.
Um, right. DD2 quits as soon as whoever she is working with quits. And she is just WAITING for said person to leave "granting" her permission to do likewise. And NEVER EVER ask "do you want to help me with this" because the answer will be "no". Hey, you ASKED right? DW did that last week with regard to pulling grass to make a bed for spring bulbs. DD2 did NOT show up to help but as the "request" was made, that was an acceptable response.

I think @Teila's DH is passing the buck on this one.
